Birth is a personal experience, and choosing the care that fits your need is an essential part of your pregnancy. Wherever you choose to have your baby, you should be fully informed, well supported, and feel empowered by your choices. Midwifery care is individualized – it includes education, counseling, and support. Midwives are trained to understand and trust the natural process – finely tuning in to what is normal for each individual, and recognizing when there are deviations from normal.

As a midwife, mother, and woman, I am passionate about women’s health. Helping women as they find their power, grow, nurture, and birth their babies, is an honor and privilege. I follow current standards and guidelines, and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the health and safety of both mother and baby. Drawing from my personal and professional experience, I offer thoughtful attention to women on their journey into motherhood. I will nurture and respect your birth story as it unfolds.

My goal is to help you avoid unnecessary interventions and have your baby safely in the privacy and comfort of your own home. I trust women’s bodies and women’s wisdom. This is your birth and your baby. You deserve to have your baby your way and I will nurture and respect your birth story as it unfolds. In 2015 I obtained my Wisconsin midwifery license and I provide midwifery care in your home in Southeast Wisconsin.

Midwifery inspired me in 1997, when I attended my first birth as labor support. In college I studied Communication, English, and Conflict Management, and in 2005 I obtained a bachelor’s degree, which has been beneficial both personally and professionally. I began pursuing midwifery studies after the birth of my second child in 2008; completed an academic program in midwifery in 2012; and apprenticed with two Wisconsin licensed midwives for 8 years. In 2015 I became a Wisconsin licensed midwife.

What my clients are saying:

NEKAIYA

“Brandy is an amazing midwife. From the moment I spoke with her on the phone, I felt comfortable. She emits a sense of trustworthiness with her kind, humble spirit and her professionalism. She allowed me to lead in my own birth and guided me with every step. This was the best experience of my life."

Katherine

“I can’t recommend Brandy enough! She was amazing! Using her for my first baby, I never felt more at ease and so comfortable! She is super personal, fun, and very knowledgeable when it comes to midwifery.”

Leah

“Brandy Brey was the midwife who walked with me through my third pregnancy and first home birth. Brandy puts her whole heart into what she does. She always responded quickly and empathetically to even minor concerns. She asked not only how I was doing physically, but also mentally and emotionally. And to this tired and stressed mama, that meant so much! She also thoroughly researched and spoke with other midwives about an issue I was having toward the end of pregnancy that she had limited experience with, making me confident in the quality of care I was receiving. Tricia also assisted with the birth, and I appreciated her warm and caring presence as well. Going with Choice Matters Midwife Collective means that you are choosing a team who cares about your needs as a whole person and your family’s unique situation. Highly recommended!”
